Taj Hotel welcomes delegation from Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Maldives

New Delhi, May 27 (IBNS): The Taj Hotels, New Delhi on Monday played host to the Heads of State of Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Maldives to India.

The Taj Hotels, New Delhi welcomed the visiting Heads of State during their visit to India to attend Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s swearing-in ceremony on Monday.

Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, his son and the accompanying delegation were received by Satyajeet Krishnan, General Manager – The Taj Mahal Hotel, New Delhi.

The special floral welcome amidst the melodious strains of the India sitar created a memorable ambience.

The Grand Presidential Suite, that boats of superlative art and design and a distinguished list of guests that have made this their home, was specially prepared with innovative chocolate and Indian sweet platters, a special tea display and menus crafted by the team of expert Chefs for the Prime Minister.

Sri Lankan President Mahinda Rajapaksa and Maldives President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom, accompanied by a delegation were received by Taljinder Singh, General Manager, Taj Palace Hotel, New Delhi with great enthusiasm and were given a red carpet welcome.

A large delegation from the hotel welcomed the guests with Aarti and garlands, in the spirit of Indian culture and tradition.

The Heads of States were hosted at the stately presidential suites.
