Surgical strike hero Lance Naik Sandeep Singh dies fighting terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir

Srinagar, Sept 25 (IBNS): Lance Naik Sandeep Singh lost his life while fighting against terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir on Monday, officials said.

On Tuesday, the Indian Army paid tributes to Singh for his sacrifice for the country.

"General Bipin Rawat #COAS & all ranks salute supreme sacrifice of Lance Naik Sandeep Singh & offer condolences to the family of the Braveheart. #BraveSonsOfIndia @SpokespersonMoD @PIB_India @HQ_IDS_India," the Indian Army tweeted.

Sandeep Singh was part of the Indian Army team which had conducted a surgical strike in 2016.

Singh will be laid to rest in Gurdaspur later in the day.

He died while fighting against terrorists in  Tangdhar sector on Monday.
