Siddaramaiah government proved to be most unsuccessful since independence: Amit Shah

Bengaluru, May 10 (IBNS): On the last day of the Karnataka poll campaign, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) national president Amit Shah took on the Siddaramaiah government by calling it the most "unsuccessful" since independence.

Addressing a press conference on Thursday, Shah said: "The Siddaramaiah government has been proved to be the most unsuccessful government since independence."

"Law and order has completely derailed in the state and we have witnessed a number of officers committing suicide" he added.

Shah has alleged the Congress-led Karnataka government to do nothing for the farmers in the state. "The Siddaramaiah government did nothing for the farmers and they are not even ready to give answers for their failure."

Shah has also claimed that the BJP will form the next government, ousting the Congress from power in Karnataka.

Shah had campaigned in the Badami constituency, where Siddaramaiah is contesting his poll.

Apart from Badami, the Karnataka Chief Minister is also a candidate from Chamundeshwari.

The state poll is scheduled to be held on May 12. The poll results will be declared three days later on May 15.
