SC stays Madras HC's order that put on hold Karti Chidambaram's lookout notice

New Delhi, Aug 14 (IBNS): Supreme Court on Monday stayed Madras High Court's order that had put on hold the look out notce issued against Karti Chidambaram in an alleged corruption case, according to media reports.

Karti Chidambaram is the son of former Union Finance Minister P Chidambaram.

The Bench comprising Chief Justice of India J.S. Khehar and D.Y. Chandrachud said that Karti Chidambaram has to appear before the probe officers for questioning as part of the investigation, media reported.

Karti Chidamabaram will not be able to leave the country following the apex court's ruling.

Gopal Subramanium, senior advocate for Karti Chidambaram, had appealed that Karti had already booked his tickets for the UK and was scheduled to leave on August 16, media reported.
