Saradha: Matang Sinh hospitalized

Kolkata, Feb 1 (IBNS) Former Union Minister Matang Sinh could not be presented in court on Sunday as he is admitted in state-run SSKM Hospital, reports said.

As Sinh, who was arrested on Saturday in connection with the Saradha chit fund scam, reportedly felt unwell and was taken to NRS Medical College and Hospital.

He was later taken to SSKM Hospital.

The CBI had arrested him after questioning him for more than seven hours.

According to reports, he has been arrested on charges of criminal conspiracy, cheating and misappropriation of funds.

The former Union Minister's company had allegedly received Rs. 28 crore from  Sudipta Sen's Saradha Group.

The multi-crore scam left lakhs of depositors fleeced in West Bengal and triggered a political uproar.
