New Delhi/UNI: Defence Minister Rajnath Singh's Tuesday address to the four-day Army Commanders’ Conference currently being held in the national capital has been postponed to Oct 28.

Singh will address the conference on Wednesday at 1200 hrs as the minister has to participate in 2+2 Indo-US Ministerial Dialogue today, an official communique read.

The last-minute changes were made as the US Secretary of State, Mike Pompeo and US Secretary of Defence, Mark T Esper will participate in 2+2 India-US Ministerial Dialogue today.

Both Pompeo and Esper arrived in India on Monday and held talks with their Indian counterparts S Jaishankar and Rajnath Singh.

This is the third US-India 2+2 Ministerial Dialogue in just over two years which demonstrates the high-level commitment the two countries give to shared diplomatic and security objectives.

Whereas, the biannual Army Commanders’ Conference, supposed to be addressed by Singh today is a meet where top commanders formulate important policy decisions through collegiate deliberations in the Indian Army. It began on Monday.
