Rajasthan: Tantrik kills couple having sex in jungle after trapping them with superglue

Udaipur/IBNS: The recovery of the naked bodies of a man and a woman covered in superglue, apparently murdered in the midst of sex in a jungle in Rajasthan’s Udaipur, has gripped the area in horror, media reports said.

On Wednesday, police said that they arrested a tantrik, the prime accused in the case, on the charge of committing the double murders, NDTV reported.

Rahul Meena, a 32-year-old government school teacher, and Sonu Kanwar, 31, were found dead in the Kela Bawdi forest area under Gogunda police station limits last week, the report stated.

After the disconcerting discovery, the police questioned 500 people and examined CCTV footage of camera installed in 50 locations.

Eventually, the investigation narrowed the case down to one suspect—Bhalesh Joshi—a tantrik with significant following and clout in the area.

He was detained and after the police interrogated him, Joshi confessed to have murdered the man and the woman.

Police said people in trouble approached the tantrik for solution, including businessmen and local politicians.

According to police, Sonu was among his followers and kept in touch with him frequently. Rahul and Sonu met each other at the Bhadvi Guda Temple, where the tantrik lived, and developed an extramarital relationship.

Owing to the growing troubles in her married life, Rahul’s wife approached the tantrik for advice, who told her about the affair.

When Rahul and Sonu learned that the tantrik revealed their relationship, they threatened to file a molestation case against him to destroy his image.

Fearing public humiliation, the tantrik allegedly hatched a bizarre plot. He bought 50 tubes of a quick-drying superglue for Rs 15 each and poured all of them into a bottle according to the report.

On November 18, he called them promising reconciliation.

He then took them to the middle of a jungle and asked them to have sex as a solution to their problems.

He then pretended to leave but returned when they began and poured the superglue all over them.

After trapping them in this manner, he slit the man’s throat and stabbed the woman, police said, according to the report.

Their bodies were found lying some 300 metres from the road.

Police said the man and the woman got injuries trying to free themselves from the quick-drying adhesive.

While examining, police found the man’s genitals also appeared cut and attempts were also made to burn the bodies.

According to the report, the police are certain about the involvement of the tantrik as they found residue of the superglue on his fingers.

Several prominent individuals in the area came to have him freed but left after police related to them the grim details of the case, the report said.
