Rajasthan CM presents draft worth Rs 5 crore to PM for PMNRF

New Delhi, Dec 7 (IBNS) Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje on Sunday presented a draft worth Rs. 5 crore to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the Prime Minister`s National Relief Fund.

"The amount includes one months salary donated by all MPs and MLAs, and one day`s salary from various officers and workers unions," the Prime Minister's Office (PMO) said in a statement.

Modi on Sunday met  chief ministers of states over replacing Planning Commission and called the meeting to be 'fruitful'.

He stressed on the need for a suitable body to replace the Planning Commission, so that the strengths of the country can be suitably harnessed.

Following the meeting, Raje said she fully supported Modi's idea of co-operative federalism.

She tweeted: "Fully support PM's idea of Co-operative Federalism -- the only way through which States can work together to achieve National goals."

"Welcome the thought process for reinventing institutions - States deserve more say in planning, devolution of funds & deciding on priorities.I firmly believe in the Constitution, which provides enough opportunities for dialogue between States and dialogue between Centre & States," she said.

"Emphasised the need for a forum for amicable resolution of Centre-State & Inter-state issues, within framework provided by the Constitution," the Chief Minister said.

She said in the meeting she also spoke on the reform process in her state.
