Rahul Gandhi calls meeting with Canadian PM Justin Trudeau 'fruitful'

New Delhi, Feb 23 (IBNS): Congress President Rahul Gandhi on Friday met Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau in Delhi, which the former termed as a fruitful discussion.

Tweeting about the meet, Gandhi wrote: 

Earlier, Trudeau visited Rajghat along with his family.

On Friday, Trudeau held bilateral talks with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

.Addressing the press briefing, Trudeau said : “We share not only rich a history but a set of values that encourage a natural friendship between our two countries.”

Trudeau further stressed the need to expand India Canada trade and commercial ties in his joint briefing with PM Modi at Hyderabad House, New Delhi on Friday.

“As Canada looks to diversify its own economy and looks for new opportunities to do business beyond its boundaries, India is a natural partner and a trusted friend for commercial cooperation,” Trudeau said.
