Pranab Mukherjee wishes ahead of Union Day of Tanzania

New Delhi, Apr 25 (IBNS) President Pranab Mukherjeeon Monday extended his greetings and felicitations to the Government and people of the United Republic of Tanzania on the eve of their Union Day.

In a message to John Pombe Magufuli, the President of the United Republic of Tanzania, Mukherjee said, “On behalf of the Government, the people of India and on my own behalf, it gives me great pleasure to extend to Your Excellency and to the friendly people of Tanzania, warm greetings and felicitations on the occasion of your Union Day."

"India and Tanzania have a long tradition of warm and friendly relations. The multi-dimensional cooperation between our two countries has been growing steadily-to the mutual benefit of our peoples. As Tanzania marches ahead, we would like to enhance and strengthen these relations in the years to come," he said.

"Please accept, Excellency, my best wishes for your good health and for the progress and prosperity of the friendly people of Tanzania," Mukherjee said.
