Srinagar, Nov 7 (IBNS) Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Jammu and Kashmir on Saturday and address a public meeting in Srinagar, where he is expected to announce a major economic sop for the state.

The rally will also be addressed by Chief Minister Mufti Mohammed Sayeed.

After his public rally at the Sher-i-Kashmir cricket stadium, PM Modi will inaugurate the second phase of the Baglihar hydel project and lay the for the four-laning of the Udhampur-Ramban and Ramban-Banihal section of the Srinagar-Jammu national highway.

Unprecedented security arrangements have been made in the city for the PM's visit with a massive number of  police  and paramilitary personnel being deployed in and around the stadium.

Some separatist groups have called for a rally at the Tourist Reception Centre ground near the stadium to counter the PM's rally. Authorities have sealed  all entry and exit routes in Srinagar while various restrictions have been imposed.
