New Delhi, Jan 2 (IBNS): Senior Congress leader Manish Tewari on Monday slammed Narendra Modi and said that it is high time that the Prime Minister should disclose to people how much black money has been recovered.

Addressing a press conference, Tewari said :"It is high time now that PM Modi stops his oral rendition and answer some simple questions."

"He had asked for 50 days from people since his announcement of demonetisation move but till now the pain and hassles of the people have not stopped," Tewari said slamming Modi.

He said people want to know how much amount of back money has been recovered by the government.

"Modi should disclose under whose custody the Rs 14.86 lakh crore deposited by people in their bank accounts following have been kept," Tewari claimed.

"We also want to know how does the government plan to dispose it of," said he.

The Congress veteran also criticised Modi's address to the nation on new year eve.

Modi on Saturday announced several schemes which aim at "benefitting" people of the nation.

This was his first televised address since he announced bannig of Rs 500 and Rs. 1000 currency notes on Nov 8.
