Ghaziabad, Oct 13 (IBNS): After the Allahabad High Court acquitted Nupur and Rajesh Talwar of charges of murdering their daughter Aarushi, it was expected that they would be released from the Dasna jail on Friday.

However, NDTV reported on Friday afternoon that the release has been delayed. The couple is expected to be released on Monday.

The couple were acquitted of the double murder charges, involving their daughter Aarushi and their domestic help Hemraj, by the Allahabad High Court on Thursday.

They were in jail since 2013, serving a life term, after a special CBI court found them guilty of the murders.

According to media reports on Friday, the Allahabad High Court slammed the special court of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) for its 2013 verdict, that had convicted Rajesh and Nupur Talwar.
