Jammu, Aug 18 (IBNS): At least 20 Border Security Force (BSF) posts were fired upon by Pakistan troopers in Arania and RS Pura sectors in Jammu since the wee hours of Sunday, prompting the BSF to retaliate and trigger a gunbattle, said officials on Monday.

"We will lodge a strong protest with Pakistan," he said, adding that the situation is under control now.
Firing from both sides started in the wee hours of Sunday.
Earlier, a senior BSF official in Jammu told IBNS that the Pakistani Army fired on BSF posts at RS Pura Sector during the intervening night of Saturday and Sunday which continued till morning.
