Bhubaneswar, Jan 12 (IBNS) : The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Thursday conducted raids at 25 places in and outside Odisha including houses of ruling Biju Janata Dal MP Rabindra Jena in connection with the Seashore Group chit fund scam, reports said.

According to reports, raids were conducted at six places in Balasore including Jena’s two houses, several places in Bhubaneswar and houses of some Seashore Group staff.

Jena is an MP from Balasore.

The Central investigating agency had on January 9 issued notice to the MP asking him to appear before it on January 12.

Jena had earlier presented himself before the CBI on December 10 last year after being summoned and was questioned for several hours  over his alleged links with the  chit fund company.
