Northern Command Chief Meets Mufti in Jammu

Jammu, Mar 7 (IBNS): Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Syed met Northern Command Chief, Lt. General. D. S. Hooda here in Jammu on Saturday.
In an hour long meeting, Lt. General briefed the Chief Minister about the present security situation in all the three regions of the State.
 
The Chief Minister raised several issues related to Army support to civil administration in a time-bound manner in rebuilding infrastructure damaged due to floods, particularly damaged bridges, an official spokesman said.
 
During the meeting, Army General briefed the Chief Minister about the possibility of accessing for improved connectivity Optical Fibre Cable Network laid by them, especially in Ladakh region.
 
 He also assured all support for smooth movement of traffic on the National Highway, which has been severely affected due to difficult weather conditions, an official statement said.
