Lucknow/UNI: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Thursday said that everyone is free to follow his or her method of worship but the mike should not be used in religious premises in way it disturbs others and that no religious procession should be taken out without permission.

At a high-level meeting, he said: "Everyone is free to follow the method of worship as per his religious ideology. Mikes could be used at places where these have been installed after taking permission in the past but it should be ensured that its sound does not come out of the premises.

"Inconvenience should not be caused to others. Do not allow mikes to be allowed at new places."

He said that no Shobha Yatra or religious procession should be taken out without taking proper permission.

"An affidavit to maintain peace and harmony should be taken from the organisers before granting permission. Any kind of weapon should not be displayed. Accountability will be fixed at every level if the atmosphere is disturbed," he said.
