Narendra Modi wishes Anandiben Patel on her birthday

New Delhi, Nov 21 (IBNS): Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday wished former Gujarat Chief Minister Anandiben Patel on her birthday.

Wishing the CM, the Prime Minister tweeted: "Birthday wishes to @anandibenpatel. She is widely admired as a hardworking & dedicated leader. I pray for her long life & good health."

Patel turned 75.
Patel resigned as the Chief Minister of the state this year.

She was serving the state since Prime Minister Narendra Modi resigned as the Chief Minister of Gujarat in 2014.

Modi became the PM of the country following his BJP's landslide  victory in the Lok Sabha polls in 2014. The Congress government at the Centre was completely uprooted from power after ruled the nation for 10 years.

Vijay Rupani was sworn in as the Chief Minister after Patel resigned.
