Narendra Modi, UAE Deputy PM discuss implementation of India-Middle East-Europe Corridor

Indian PM Narendra Modi and Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of the United Arab Emirates Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan recently discussed strengthening the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership and implementation of India-Middle East-Europe Corridor (IMEEC) during their recent meeting in New Delhi.

The two leaders highlighted further building up of ties in areas of technology, energy, and people-to-people ties.

"Prime Minister laid special emphasis on the implementation of the India-Middle East-Europe Corridor (IMEEC) as a historic initiative to foster regional connectivity and prosperity," read a statement issued by the Ministry of External Affairs.

During his interaction with Modi, Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan shared his perspective on the prevailing situation in West Asia.

The Indian Prime Minister reiterated India’s commitment to support long-term peace, stability and security of the region.
