Mulayam, Mayawati among former UP CMs asked by SC to vacate official bungalows
New Delhi, Aug 1 (IBNS) : The Supreme Court on Monday asked former Uttar Pradesh Chief Ministers, including Mulayam Singh Yadav and Mayawati, to vacate official bungalows, reports said.
The top court said no longer can the ex Chief Minister continue to occupy the official bungalows which they have to vacate in two months.
The directive comes on a petition filed by a Lucknow-based NGO.
Former Chief Ministers Rajnath Singh, Kalyan Singh and ND Tiwari are also likely to be affected by the court order.
