More encouragement for agriculture scholars: Bandaru Dattatreya

Hyderabad, Nov 16 (IBNS): Minister for Labour & Employment Bandaru Dattatreya assured the Agriculture scholars, that the centre will work on the plans to provide more encouragement for their research work.
Addressing the huge gathering of farmers and scholars here at the Directorate of Rice Research (DRR), located on the outskirts of Hyderabad on Saturday evening, he said that the matter will be discussed with the concerned ministry soon. 
 
Dattatreya was the chief guest at the for the Farmers’ Day organized at the DRR. 
 
Appreciating the role of the DRR in suggesting the suitable seeds to the farming community across the country, he said that the institute is a proud matter for the newly formed Telangana State. 
 
As the rice is an important food in the country, the institutes like DRR, has to produce more rice varieties, that can be beneficial for the farmers and the people, he said. He asked the scientists to visit at least a village once in a week. 
 
“The Saansad Grameen Yojana will be successful if the scientists visit villages more," he added. 
 
The Union government will make all out efforts to provide 24-hours quality power supply, said the minister.
