New Delhi, Dec 15 (IBNS): Lok Sabha has been adjourned for the day on Thursday following a noisy showdown between the government and the opposition members, according to media reports.

Thursday was the penultimate day for the winter session.

The opposition blamed the ruling party of stalling the proceedings in the Parliament, media reported.

Senior BJP leader LK Advani, disappointed with the logjam in the Parliament, asked if he should resign.

On Thursday, the BJP demanded a discussion on the alleged AugustaWestland scam, asking how the dealers were able to steer the Rs 3600 crore chopper deal during the tenure of former PM Manmohan Singh, reported India Today.

The Congress too launched an attack on the government in both houses of the Parliament banking on the claims of their vice-president Rahul Gandhi who said he has damaging information against Prime Minister Narendra Modi

The Opposition leaders met on Thursday to discuss the demonetisation issue.

TMC MP Sudip Bandyopadhyay also gave an adjournment motion notice in Lok Sabha on the issue, media reported.
