New Delhi/UNI: Amid the uproar of the opposition on the third day of the monsoon session of Parliament over the Manipur issue, the Lok Sabha was adjourned till 2 pm on Monday.

The opposition has constantly demanded discussion over the Manipur situation in Parliament and Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s statement on this issue in the House.

Today, the House proceedings began amid pandemonium over the Manipur issue, as the opposition was demanding detailed discussion on this. Several opposition MPs were raising slogans in the House over the Manipur issue.

Union Minister Rajnath Singh said the government is ready for discussion in Parliament, but the opposition is not serious about the discussion on the incident in Manipur.

Ahead of the Monsoon Session, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday broke his silence on Manipur and said that it "brings shame to humanity” and what has happened to daughters of Manipur (naked parading and rape of women) can never be forgiven and the "guilty will not be spared.”

Addressing the media, Modi said, "The whole country is being insulted, and 140 crore countrymen are feeling ashamed.
