LeT militant killed in Kashmir

Srinagar, Dec 18 (IBNS): A Pakistani Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) commander was killed in an encounter with the security forces on Thursday morning at Sialkot in Kupwara district of north Kashmir.
Sources told IBNS that on tip of information, security forces cordoned of the area around Peer Mohalla Sialkot in Kupwara.
 
The encounter was triggered when the troops got to know that one Lashkar-e-Taiba commander was taking shelter in a residential house in the village.
 
During the gunfight, one Let Commander was killed while one army jawan received bullet injury.
 
Sources said that the slain militant was member of a group, which was on its way to infiltrate into this side of Kashmir in a couple of days.
 
The body of the terrorist was recovered along with an AK-47 rifle, 3 magazines, one radio set along with some documents from the encounter site, official said.
