Kolkata: Massive fire breaks out at Duncan House

Kolkata, Sept 6 (IBNS): A major fire broke out in central Kolkata's Duncan House in the wee hours of Tuesday, reports said.

According to reports, the fire was first noticed at around 3:45 am. on the ground floor of the multi-storey commercial building at Fairley Place area and the blaze took few minutes to reach the building's first floor.

As many as 15 fire tender engines rushed to the spot and firemen fought for hours to bring the blaze under control.

No casualty was reported in the incident, while the ground and first floors of the building were completely gutted.

Fire department, however, has started an investigation into the matter to know the exact reason behind the fire.
