Kashmir: Four arrested, arms and ammunition recovered in Shopian

Srinagar/UNI: Four persons were arrested along with arms and ammunition, including four grenades, in south Kashmir district of Shopian, official sources said on Wednesday.

Following specific information, a joint team of police and army arrested four persons -- identified as Sajad Ahmad Dhobi, Imtiyaz Ahmad, Parvaiz Ahmad and Shaid Manzoor -- in Shopian.

Arms and ammunition, including four grenades and 100 rounds of AK-47, were recovered from their possession.

Police have registered a case and initiated investigation into the incident.

More arrests are likely in coming days, the sources said.
