Vijayawada/New Delhi, May 26 (UNI): Andhra Pradesh chief minister designate Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy alleged that the Chandrababu Naidu-led government had indulged in irregularities in acquiring land for capital city construction.

Addressing a press conference in AP bhavan in New Delhi, he said that the government had forcibly taken lands from farmers under Land Pooling Scheme (LPS) for the construction capital city Amaravati.

“There is sensational scam in the land acquirement. After acquiring lands from the farmers under LPS, the Naidu led government has given the lands at cheaper price for the individuals, who were close to him,” he alleged.

Mr Reddy said that before announcing the establishment of capital city at the area, the binamis of Naidu purchased lands at cheaper prices around Amaravati from the farmers.

He said that his government would conduct inquiry on the land acquirement and selling of the same at cheaper prices. The land scam would be exposed, he said, adding that he has no personal grudge against Chandrababu Naidu.
