'Is this Mohabbat ki dukaan?': BJP's Poonawala asks Rahul Gandhi on Modi slapping remark

| @indiablooms | Mar 26, 2024, at 08:28 pm

Bengaluru/UNI: BJP leader Shehzad Poonawalla on Tuesday strongly condemned Karnataka Minister and Congress leader S Tangadagi's remarks, accusing him of promoting a "politics of threat".

He also called for action from other prominent leaders within the Congress party, including Rahul Gandhi, Mallikarjun Kharge, and Priyanka Vadra against Tangadagi for his unparliamentary words against PM Modi.

"A minister of Karnataka Congress Shivaraj Tangadagi has started a politics of threat while opposing the BJP.

"He said any youth who supports PM Modi should be beaten and slapped. I want to ask Rahul Gandhi, Mallikarjun Kharge, Priyanka Vadra and all the leaders of INDI Alliance is this 'Mohabbat Ki Dukan'?" he queried.

Poonawalla asserted that such rhetoric is not conducive to constructive political discourse and accused Congress and INDI Alliance leaders of using abusive language against PM Modi and his supporters.

Taking cognizance of the Congress party's strategy to discredit PM Modi and bolster their political agenda, Poonawala challenged the party to take action against Tangadagi and stated that the electorate will judge their response in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.

"This is not a coincidence, it is a well-thought experiment. Congress and leaders of INDI Alliance have spoken more than 100 abusive words for PM Modi and his poor community.

"Just to establish their own 'Yuvraj', a Congress minister is talking about beating the youth of the country. Is Congress going to take any action against this? The youth of Karnataka will answer this in the elections." he said.
