Jammu/UNI: Indian Army troops of the Romeo Force on Sunday braved harsh weather and incessant snow and rain near Dera Ki Gali to rescue nine passengers including five female passengers travelling between Thanamandi and Bafliaz in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir.

Defence Spokesperson here said that the vehicle in which they were traveling got stuck on the road due to heavy snowfall.

On getting information, the troops and the local police stationed at Dera Ki Gali sprang into action and reached the site immediately and rescued the passengers and the vehicle, he added.

They were comforted at the DKG check post with tea and medical attention, he added.
