IAF chopper crashes near Sitapur in UP, 7 feared dead

Sitapur, July 25 (IBNS): An Indian Air Force (IAF) helicopter crashed near Sitapur in Lucknow on Friday with all 7 people on board feared dead.
Confirming the crash, the IAF said, "One Advanced Light Helicopter (ALH) of the Indian Air Force crashed near Sitapur of Lucknow area at about 1657 hrs on 25 Jul 2014. The Helicopter was airborne from Bareilly at 1653 hrs and was on a mission to Allahabad."
 
A total of seven air warriors including two pilots were on board. 
 
"It is feared that there are no survivors," the IAF said.
 
According to the force, the pilot gave a ‘may-day’ (emergency) call and soon after that there was a loss of contact on radar and on radio.  
 
There is no reported damage on ground.
