Gujarat: Employees foil loot in gold loan firm in Ahmedabad, culprit nabbed

Ahmedabad, Jul 6 (UNI) The employees of a private gold loan firm in K K Nagar locality under Ghatlodia police station, here on Saturday foiled a loot attempt.

Police said that one Chirag Bhavsar, entered the office of IIFL gold loan in Samarpan tower with mask and helmet, and tried to rob the firm on gunpoint.


At this juncture the bank manager and another employee showed courage and somehow nabbed him. During scuffle, one round was also fired.


However, no one was injured.

 

The culprit, a former customer of the bank was handed over to the police.


Six live cartridges including a blank one and a pistol were recovered from the spot.


The whole incident was captured on the CCTV.
