London, Nov 12 (IBNS): Prime Minister Narendra Modi received Guard of Honour in London as he commenced his three-day UK trip on Thursday.

British Prime Minister David Cameron was present at the venue where the event took place.

Modi on Thursday reached London as a part of his bilateral visit to the United Kingdom.

"Hello London! PM @narendramodi arrives in United Kingdom for 1st bilateral visit by an Indian PM in almost a decade," Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) spokesperson Vikas Swarup tweeted.

He was received by a host of dignitaries.

Modi is the first Indian Prime Minister to visit the UK in almost a decade. Manmohan Singh had visited London in 2006.
