Four legislators injured as BJP and Cong members clash in Gujarat Assembly

Ahmedabad, Feb 23 (IBNS) : Four legislators, including a woman BJP minister, were injured when a clash broke out inside the Gujarat Assembly between opposition Congress and the ruling party members during the budget session proceedings on Thursday, reports said.

Speaker Ramanlal Vora adjourned the House amid a free-for-all scene.

All hell broke loose when amid a heated exchange between two sides over farmers' suicide in the state, the legislators reportedly dislodged microphones and damaged other interiors of the House.

Members of the Treasury bench and the Opposition accused each other of being abusive.

The ruling BJP  accused Congress MLA Baldev Thakor of hitting minister of state for women and child welfare Nirmala Wadhwani,
