Former RJD legislator Ranbir Yadav convicted in 28 year-old murder case

Patna, Dec 25 (TheBiharPost): A local court in Bihar has convicted a former RJD legislator Ranbir Yadav in a 28 year-old case of murder.

Yadav was convicted by the court of additional district and sessions judge, Munger, Phool Chaadra Chaudhary on Saturday.

The court will announce the quantum of punishment on January 3.

Soon after being convicted, Yadav was taken into custody and sent to Munger prisonl. Yadav is husband of JD-U legislator from Khagaria, Punam Yadav.

The Khagaria muscleman is accused of shooting dead his cousin Sunil Kumar Yadav in December 1988 reportedly after his goat strayed into the house of the accused.

Yadav has already been sentenced to life imprisonment in Taufir diyara massacre involving killing of nine persons in mid-1980’s.
