Emmanuel Macron visits Dargah Nizamuddin Aulia in New Delhi, enjoys Qawaali session

French President Emmanuel Macron on Friday (January 26, 2024) visited Dargah Nizamuddin Aulia in New Delhi and enjoyed listening Qawaali.

A video of the event went viral on social media.

Macron visited India as the Chief Guest for Republic Day event.

He attended the iconic Republic Day celebration of the country which occured at the  Kartavya Path in the national capital.

Macron posted on X: "Thank you, India, for your warm welcome in Jaïpur and Delhi."

"France will welcome the whole world this year with the commemoration of the Second World war, the Olympic and Paralympic games in Paris and the Francophonie summit. You are welcome, our friends!" he said.

Nizamuddin Dargah is the dargah of the Sufi saint Khwaja Nizamuddin Auliya (1238–1325 CE).

Situated in the Nizamuddin West area of Delhi, the dargah is visited by thousands of pilgrims every week.
