Dozens of Bihar ministers, legislators donate blood for ailing humanity

Patna, Feb 7 (TheBiharPost/IBNS): In a noble gesture, dozens of ministers and legislators cutting across party lines in Bihar on Tuesday donated blood to save lives of the ailing community.

They took this rare initiative at a blood donation camp organized in the assembly premises to mark 97th foundation day of Bihar assembly.

The blood collected at the camp will be sent to the Patna Medical College and Hospital to help the needy patients.

“It’s a matter of pride the legislators have donated blood to save lives of the people. Nowhere in the country such blood donation camp has been organized either in Parliament or in state assemblies except Bihar,” state assembly Speaker Vijay Kumar Chaudhary told the media.

Last year, 100 legislators had donated blood.
