Demonetisation: Trinamool holds rally in Kolkata, results in traffic snarl

Kolkata, Nov 23 (IBNS): The ruling Trinamool Congress (TMC) held a protest march in Kolkata on Wednesday regarding the demonetisation issue.

Starting from College Square, the rally ended at city's downtown Esplanade area.

Several TMC leaders led the protest march. A large number of party supporters joined the rally here.

Due to the rally, traffic in central Kolkata was disrupted for hours.

On Wednesday, West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee led a sit-in-demonstration at Jantar Mantar in Delhi over the same issue while her party MPs staged a 'dharna' in front of the Gandhi statue in the Parliament.
