New Delhi, Jan 22 (IBNS): Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) new entrant Kiran Bedi on Thursday faced another protest as lawyers in Delhi staged agitation, burnt her effigy and raised slogans against her.
The protesters were demonstrating against Bedi in connection with a 1988 case.

According to reports, Bedi, who was the then Deputy Commissioner (North), ordered a lathi-charge on a group of Delhi Bar Association members who had gathered outside her office to protest against the handcuffing of one of their colleagues, arrested on the charge of theft.

The lawyers were then seriously injured.

Thursday's protesters were against  the selection of former IPS officer Kiran Bedi as the Bharatiya Janata Party's chief ministerial candidate in the national capital.
