Delay in establishing tribal university in Telangana is due to KCR govt's approach: Amit Shah

Nalgonda (Telangana)/IBNS/UNI: Union Home Minister Amit Shah Tuesday blamed the approach of the Telangana Government led by Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao for the delay in establishing a tribal university.

Speaking at a public meeting titled "Jana Garjana" (Peoples' Roar) here, Shah stated that the KCR government had not shown interest in the tribal university, resulting in the delay of its establishment.

He highlighted several achievements of the Narendra Modi-led government, including the provision of 33 percent reservation for women in legislatures and changes to the Krishna Tribunal rules, which made water in Telangana freely available.

Shah also criticized KCR for not addressing the issues of Telangana's poor, farmers, Dalits, and tribals during his ten-year tenure as Chief Minister. He mentioned KCR's focus on making his son, KTR, the Chief Minister.

Shah expressed his respect for the freedom fighters who battled against the Rajakars and called for the BJP to establish its presence in Telangana.

He said the BJP government, led by Modi, would soon come to power in the state and urged party members to hoist the BJP flag in Hyderabad on Dec 3 (the day of assembly polls results).

He emphasized the need for a "double engine government" in Telangana and touched on various national issues, such as the construction of the Ram Mandir, the abrogation of Article 370, surgical strikes, and social welfare programs initiated by the Modi government.

Shah also questioned the Congress's commitment to the welfare of the poor and criticized the previous Congress governments for their alleged inaction in this regard.

He asserted that only the BJP could save Telangana from what he referred to as "modern Razakars" and highlighted the achievements of the Modi government in areas such as vaccination drives and global recognition for hosting G-20.
