Centre unleashing atrocities on people: Rahul Gandhi on price hike

| @indiablooms | Jul 19, 2022, at 07:39 pm

New Delhi/UNI: Congress MP Rahul Gandhi Tuesday launched a fresh attack on the Modi government over hike in rate of Goods and Services Tax (GST) and LPG cylinder, and accused it of unleashing 'atrocities' on the common people.

The former Congress President said he and his party stand with the people, and will raise the issues vigorously in the Parliament.

"The daily food items became expensive, and a cylinder now costs Rs 1,053, but the government says 'all is well'. This shows inflation is the problem of the people, not of the government," he wrote in a tweet in Hindi.

Attacking the Prime Minister, the Congress MP said, "When Narendra Modi was in Opposition, he had made inflation the biggest issue. But, now the PM is silent on this issue. The PM will have to answer."

"We stand with the people against every atrocity committed by the government. We will raise the issue vigorously in the House ," he said.
