Mumbai, Oct 10 (IBNS): The Bombay High Court on Wednesday cancelled the molestation case filed by actor Preity Zinta against industrialist Ness Wadia in 2014.

According to reports, the court, which was hearing Ness Wadia's petition seeking the case be dropped, had earlier suggested the parties settle the matter.

While Preity's lawyer said his client was ready to settle the matter if Ness was ready to apologise.

However, Ness Wadia was not prepared to apologise to the actress.

Preity had filed a molestation case against her ex-beau and industrialist Ness Wadia, which she claimed was done to protect herself rather than hurting anyone, in 2014.

She had alleged that she was molested during an IPL qualifier for the final between Kings XI Punjab and Chennai Super Kings at the Wankhede Stadium.

The actress had alleged that Wadia outraged her modesty and abused as well as threatened her.

She had reportedly said that during the match, while in the Garware Pavilion, Wadia came up to her, grabbed her by the hand and started using abusive words in front of other spectators.

Preity and Ness were co-owners of the IPL team-Kings XI Punjab.

The actress  dated the Bombay Dyeing heir from February 2005 until May 2009.
