Bihar: BJP affiliate burns Jinping’s effigy to protest China's support to Pakistan

Patna, Oct 16 (The Bihar Post/IBNS): Activists of BJP’s student wing on SUnday burnt the effigy of Chinese president Xi Jinping to protest his visit to India.

Jinping is currently on a visit to India to take part in the BRICS summit being held at Goa.

Angry activists of Akhil Bhartiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP), student wing of the BJP, on Sunday took out protest rallies in various parts of Bihar and burnt effigies of the Chinese president for Beijing’s move to support Pakistan.

Angry activists also shouted slogans against China and accused China of indirectly supporting terrorism by backing Pakistan.

“China is indirectly supporting Pakistan over the issue of terrorism. In such a situation, India should not maintain any relations with China,” ABVP leader Umesh Kumar told the media.

He announced to boycott Chinese products this Diwali (festival of lights) as a mark of protest.

Bihar has taken lead in opposing China and one of the village councils in the state has already imposed a ban on sale and purchase of ‘Made in China’ goods in its jurisdiction.
