A Bengaluru woman was allegedly raped by an unknown biker who had given her a lift on Sunday, media reports said.

Additional Commissioner of Police (East Zone) Raman Gupta told India Today that the woman, who is a college student, was returning home after a get-together.

He said the woman was taken by the bike rider to an isolated location instead of the designated place.

The victim was reportedly found behind a truck with a red jacket covering her.
