Assam: Hardcore NDFB(S) militant killed in encounter

Guwahati, Apr 13 (IBNS): A hardcore militant belonging to NDFB(S) was killed in an encounter with security forces in Udalguri district along the Assam-Arunachal Pradesh border on Monday, police said.
BTAD IGP Dr LR Bisnoi said that following a tip-off, Udalguri district police CRPF Cobra 21 battalion jointly launched an operation at remote No 4 Sudemjuli village near Pagla river under Mazbat police station around 2:30 pm on Monday and killed the militant during gun battle.
 
The slain militant was identified as Jiskel Daimary alias Julunga and security forces recovered one pistol with magazine, four rounds live 0.32mm live ammunition, three rounds empty cartridges near the body.
 
"Security forces has continued intensified operation against the militant group and arresting at least 50 hardcore cadres of the outfit, recovered huge cache of arms and ammunition so far in BTAD area, " Dr LR Bisnoi said.
