Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal meets Rajnath Singh

New Delhi, Sept 27 (IBNS): Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal on Tuesday met Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh and discussed several issued related to the state.

"Met Hon'ble HM Shri @rajnathsingh ji this morning & discussed various imp issues related to Assam. He assured us all possible support," Sonowal tweeted.

He urged Singh to provide additional security forces to maintain law and order in the state during the upcoming festive season.;

"As the festival season is approaching, I requested him to provide additional security forces to maintain law and order in the state," the Chief Minister said.

"I requested him to handover the construction of Indo-Bangla border fencing to Indian army as was done in case of Indo-Pak int’l border," he said.


The Chief Minister tweeted: "I requested Hon'ble HM Shri @rajnathsingh ji for immediate extension of 64 Foreigners' Tribunals with retrospective effect. "
