Arvind Kejriwal condemns detention of protesting Telugu Desam Party MPs in New Delhi

New Delhi, Apr 8 (IBNS): Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Sunday attacked the Centre over the detention of Telugu Desam Party (TDP) MPs by the police as they were marching towards the residence of the PM here.

He condemned the detention of the MPs.

Demanding for special status for Andhra Pradesh, the TDP MPs were marching towards the residence of the PM, media reports said.

Kejriwal met the protesting MPs.

He said he was supporting their demand for Special Status for their state.

Kejriwal later tweeted: "TDP MPs taken to Tughlak Road Police Stn for demanding Spl status for AP. I went and met them at police stn in solidarity. We condemn their detention and fully support demand for spl status of AP.
