Balrampur/UNI:  Father of the suspected ISIS terrorist arrested from New Delhi on Friday night has condemned the act of his son but, on the other hand, has also asked the people of the country to forgive him for once.

ISIS suspect Abu Yusuf alias Mustaquim was brought here at his Bhaisahi village in Utaraula area of Balrampur district on Saturday night from Delhi and four of his close accomplices were taken in custody for interrogation.

Delhi police had arrested Abu along with 2 improvised IED along and a pistol after a brief encounter.

However, during the encounter two of Abu's accomplice managed to flee and now the police were in search of them.

Kafil Ahmed, father of the accused Abu Yusuf, while talking to media persons here on Sunday said that he was sad about his son's involvement in the terror act.

"I had no information about his involvement with anti-national forces. I just want that the country should forgive him once for his misdeed though I accept that his act was wrong and against the country. If I had any clue in the past that he was involved in such activities, then I would have certainly convinced him to leave it," he said.

Delhi police and other agencies have interrogated Kafil Ahmed and three other family members and later they nabbed four other people from a house and were probing them separately.

It has been reported that the family members and some of the friends of Abu had thrown some documents and other things in the pond, which were being fished out by the police.

The security agencies were also cross-examining Abu to detect explosives which were being hidden in some places in the village.
