Anti-Corruption dept to investigate charge that Kejriwal took cash

New Delhi, May 8 (IBNS) : In a quick action after former AAP Minister Kapil Mishra alleged that Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal received Rs. 2 crore cash, Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal has referred the case to the anti-corruption branch of the police for investigation, NDTV reported.

It is an irony of fate for Kejriwal that the anti-corruption branch is headed by MK Meena, an officer who was repeatedly labelled by him as "corrupt".

Kejriwal has not reacted till now, though his Aam Aadmi Party has rubbished the allegation of  Mishra, insisting that there is no such proof

Mishra had claimed he saw Mr Kejriwal receive the money from another minister, Satyendar Jain.

Mishra has claimed he will share evidence with the anti-corruption branch  and "tell them everything".

Mishra was removed on Saturday evening after a series of tweets from him promised explosive revelations.
