3 militants killed in Kashmir

New Delhi, Sept 10 (IBNS): Three militants are killed following a fierce gunfight with security forces in Jammu & Kashmir on Wednesday.

Defence spokesperson SD Goswami said, troops received specific information that some militants are hiding in Kishangarh Ridge near the LOC. Based on those inputs, troops of 15 Rashtriya Rifle surrounded the area on Tuesday midnight. As soon the militants saw the troops, they opened fire on them. Army gave a befitting reply following which three militants were killed Line of Control (LOC) at 7 am on Wednesday morning.  Three AK-47 Rifles, 15 magazines and 319 rounds of ammunition and other warlike stores were recovered from the slain militants.
