Video of tiger chasing bike riders goes viral on internet, Twitter users left shocked

New Delhi, June 30 (IBNS): Social media users were left amazed and shocked after a video surfaced on the internet where two people riding on a bike could be seen chased by a tiger in Muthanga Wildlife Sanctuary in Kerala's Wayanad district.

Luckily, they escaped the situation unhurt.

The video has now gone viral.

In the video, the two men, who were on a bike, could be seen chased by a tiger.

The animal chased them for few seconds but then disappeared in the jungle.

Forests and Wildlife Protection Society (FAWPS) – an NGO working towards the protection of forests and wildlife- shared the video on their Facebook page.

The background of the video is not known yet.

While talking to Hindustan Times newspaper, a moderator from FAWPS said that the people riding the bike were Forest Department officials. They went to patrol the area upon receiving information about a tiger sighting.

Meanwhile, Twitter users were left shocked by the video.

One Ashil Bran said: "Incredibly shocking video of a Bike raider's narrow escape from a tiger attack. Near death experience As per the whatsapp message. This incident happened near pulpalli, Wayanad, Kerala."

Another Gopakumar S said: "Enter the #tiger! #Tiger chasing motorcycle is perhaps a new form of human #wildlife interaction. Has seen dogs chasing vehicles, but not one from the #cat family! #wayanad #Kerala #WesternGhats #forest."

Internet user Saju Mohan reacted: "Tiger chasing a bike in #wayanad Kerala. Lucky escape ⁦@AnimalPlanet⁩ ⁦@NatGeo."
